The form on the booking page
When you fill in the request form, nothing is sent to us automatically and nothing is stored on a server. The page assembles what you typed into a message and hands it to WhatsApp, or to your email program, so that you can read it and decide whether to send it.
If you never press Send, we never see any of it.
If you do press Send, we receive whatever the message contains: your dates, how many of you there are, which dorm you asked about, your name, the WhatsApp number or email address you gave us, and anything you wrote in the notes.
What we do with it
We use it to answer you and to arrange your stay. We do not sell it, we do not add you to a mailing list, and there is no mailing list to add you to.
What stays on your phone
If you start filling in the form and lose signal, the page saves your unsent message in your own browser so it is still there when you come back. It is stored on your device, not on ours, it is deleted after seven days, and you can clear it by clearing this site’s data in your browser.
The page also keeps a count, for the length of your visit only, of how many times you have pressed Send. That is to stop automated abuse. It disappears when you close the tab.
Cookies
This website sets no cookies.
Where links take you
- WhatsApp — pressing Send opens WhatsApp, which is run by Meta and has its own privacy policy. The message goes from your phone to ours; this website is not involved once you have pressed Send.
- Google Maps — the map on the booking page is a drawing hosted here. Nothing loads from Google unless you tap the link, and then you are on Google’s site under Google’s terms.
- Instagram and Facebook — ordinary links. Nothing from either loads on this site.
- Hosting — this site is served by GitHub Pages, which keeps its own server logs. Those logs are not available to us.
Your rights
If you are in the UK or the EU you can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Message or email the contacts at the top of this page and we will do it.
Changes
If this page changes we will change the date below.
